The unit has a U-shaped middle section (102) with its side pieces (103, 104) passing into respective holding arms (105, 106). The arms are bent at an angle of more than 180 degrees in a lateral direction and leads away to a continuous and inflection point-free curvature. The radius of curvature of the holding arms is constantly larger than the halved inner width of the side pieces of the U-shaped middle section. An independent claim is also included for a system for fastening of rails.
