TUMOR MARKER AND METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF THE OCCURRENCE OF CANCEROUS DISEASE

Disclosed are: a tumor marker for colorectal cancer; and a method for the determination of the occurrence of colorectal cancer. More specifically, disclosed are: a tumor marker comprising a protein identified in a colorectal cancer tissue; and a method for the determination of the occurrence of colorectal cancer using the tumor marker. In the method, the level of the protein in a sample derived from an individual who is a target of the determination of the occurrence of colorectal cancer is measured, and the measured level is compared with the normal level for the protein. The increase or decrease in the measured level relative to the normal level is employed as an indicator of the possibility that the individual is suffering from colorectal cancer.
