The device has a fuel cell (2) and a transformer (3). The fuel cell is surrounded by an electrical conductor housing (10) together with the transformer, which is connected with an electrical pole (8) of the fuel cell and is connected with an electrical inlet (9) of the transformer. The other pole (5) of the fuel cell is connected with the other inlet (7) of the transformer. The connection (6) runs in the interior of the housing. The connection is surrounded by the housing, so that the connection is arranged in the plane perpendicular to the flow of current (I-1,I-2).
