The invention relates to electrical engineering, particular to design of electric motors, more particular, to D.C. traction electric motors and can be used for driving diesel locomotives wheel pairs.A D.C. electric motor comprises a housing with end walls, main and additional poles mounted therein, an armature shaft with a core which rests on end brackets via roll bearings, the end brackets are mounted in the end walls, and also brush holders and a ventilation system. The electrical motor housing is a spaced structure, the central part of which is made as a laminated core which comprises outer rectangular grooves, dimensions and location of which are similar to grooves of the laminated core, wherein the end walls are connected to the laminated core using rectangular strips rigidly fixed in corresponding laminated core grooves and end walls, the length of each rectangular strip exceeds longitudinal dimension of the laminated core by the value required for mounting auxiliaries of the electric motor. |
