<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable liquid crystal display device by hardening an end-sealing material having entered between a pair of glass substrates so as to leave no unhardened portion for the purpose of preventing occurrence of a display defect caused by an unhardened end-sealing material. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a liquid crystal panel constituted so that a light shielding film 13 or wiring transmitting no light is formed on mutually opposing faces of a pair of glass substrates, a sealing material is applied on the opposing face so as to make the sealing material have a liquid crystal injection port 3, and the pair of glass substrates are stuck to each other, wherein an end-sealing material 6 to end-seal the injection port 3 is a resin hardened with an ultraviolet ray or a visible ray, at least a part of the resin is drawn into a gap between the pair of glass substrates, and a notch 15 which is a transmission part to transmit the ultraviolet ray or the visible ray is formed on at least one substrate, in the vicinity of the injection port 3 of the light shielding film 13 or the wiring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
