PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone adapter apparatus capable of securing a period, during which a dial number can be input so as not to incur a busy state as an error, longer than the prior art. SOLUTION: The telephone adapter apparatus 20 includes: a reception and storage means 26 which receives dial numbers sequentially sent from a telephone set 30 after off-hook and stores the dial signals into a storage section 28; a number setting means 24 which searches a line select number corresponding to a dial number and sets number information when the line select number is found out; and a call origination control means 22 which performs control to call a first dial number stored in the storage section 28 when a period of time from off-hook to setting of the number information by the number setting means 24 exceeds a first predetermined period and to call, after the lapse of the first predetermined time, either the numbers stored in the storage section 28 or the number information set by the number setting means 24 one by one each time a second predetermined period shorter than the first predetermined period passes.
