PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of an image by preventing the pressing of a toner image by a pressure roller from becoming uneven. SOLUTION: A fixing apparatus for fixing the toner image arranged on recording paper to the recording paper comprises an annular belt 71 for conveying the recording paper; rotation support means 72, 73 supporting the annular belt 71 rotatably at a plurality of parts; and the pressure roller 74 abutting on a region A, not abutting on the rotation support means 72, 73, of the annular belt 71 and pressing the toner image in a region B abutting on the annular belt, to fix the toner image to the recording paper.
