Abstract This invention relates to wood preserving compositions for the treatment of wood products, such as utility poles, pilings, posts, and railroad ties and other wooden structures. The present disclosure claims a wood preservative composition comprising a fatty acid, bivalent copper, an organic co-biocide and an oil. A method for producing such a composition is also disclosed, as is a method for treating wood, rendering the wood resistant to wood decay, fungi, insects or marine borers. |
