The present invention relates to a system for connecting communication using an image phonebook and a method thereof wherein the system comprises: a first mobile terminal for receiving an input signal for selecting one of multiple tiles and for displaying the image phonebook on a screen wherein the image phonebook comprises the multiple tiles and the multiple tiles include pictures and status information, respectively; a second mobile terminal for receiving a communication call transmitted at the first mobile terminal according to the input signal; and a phonebook server for transmitting renewing information, which includes at least one of varied pictures, the status information and address, to the first mobile terminal and for renewing the image phonebook according to the renewing information. Thus, mutual fellowship and interest are generated among users through the real time status of the users of the mobile terminal indicated on the image phonebook. |
