The present invention provides a method and apparatus for determining a danger level. The method comprises: determining current position information about a monitored terminal; and determining, according to a corresponding relationship between monitoring areas and danger levels, a danger level of a current monitoring area where the current position information is located, wherein danger levels of at least two monitoring areas, including the current monitoring area, in monitoring areas are different. The present invention solves the problem of low positioning efficiency caused by incapability in discriminative monitoring for monitoring areas with different levels due to the fact that a danger level of a monitoring area cannot be defined in the related art, and achieves the effects of determining a danger level of a monitoring area, performing discriminative monitoring on monitoring areas with different levels and improving the positioning efficiency. |
