A method and apparatus for processing power down warning information of an optical network unit ONU. The method comprises: writing the power down warning information into a cache of the ONU when the generation of the power down warning information in the ONU is detected (S102); reporting to an optical line terminal OLT the power down warning information in the cache of the ONU, the power down warning information meeting preset conditions (S104); triggering an operation of forbidding execution of sending enablement of the ONU, and/or resetting the ONU (S106). According to this technical solution, by resetting the ONU, it can be ensured that the impacts of false power down on the ONU lead to abnormal operation and that all the subsequent devices of the ONU operates normally; the synchronization with the registration status of the OLT is realized, and the inconsistency between the state of the ONU and the state of the OLT is avoided. Thus the method solves the problem in related technology that during reporting of the power down warning information by the ONU, erroneous reporting of the power down warning information arises because only theoretical situations are taken into account without contemplating some situations during actual use. |
