The present invention relates to a water saving device for a water pipe having an automatic adjustment function, which is capable of adjusting a flow rate by opening and closing through-holes of a body with an adjusting plate formed above the body, and more particularly, to a water saving device which includes an adjusting plate (20) elastically spaced apart from a flow controller body (11) by means of a shock-absorbing spring (25) disposed on the center of a seating groove (12) formed on the upper portion of the flow controller body (11). The adjusting plate (20) has long holes (22) formed at positions corresponding to through-holes (13) of the seating groove (12) and having a smaller width than the through-holes (13) so as to form a passage wider than the through-holes (13) when spaced apart from the through-holes (13) and to reduce the passage of the through-holes (13) when in contact with the through-holes (13). Therefore, as the adjusting plate (20) is spaced apart from or elastically brought into close contact with the seating groove (12), the flow rate can be automatically adjusted according to the degree of the opening of the through-holes (13), thus providing improved convenience in use and economical advantages than the conventional method through the two-step water saving method that minimizes the quantity of water discharged when the water pressure discharged is high rather than low. |
