<p>Disclosed is a method for determining the developmental potential of a human embryo comprising: (a) measuring one or more cellular parameters of said human embryo by time lapse microscopy in vitro, wherein one or more cellular parameters is: (i) the duration of a cytokinesis event; (ii) the time interval between cytokinesis 1 and cytokinesis 2; or (iii) the time interval between cytokinesis 2 and cytokinesis 3; and (b) employing said one or more cellular parameters to determine the developmental potential of said human embryo, wherein good developmental potential of said human embryo is indicated by: (i) a duration of cytokinesis 1 that is about 0 to about 30 minutes; (ii) a time interval between cytokinesis 1 and cytokinesis 2 that is about 8-15 hours; and/or (iii) a time interval between cytokinesis 2 and cytokinesis 3 that is about 0-5 hours.</p> |
