The device has safety switches (5a, 5b) for monitoring hanging of a protective equipment (8) for persons or goods on retaining pins (3) which run in a housing (2) and are impinged by a pressure spring (4). A deflecting holder or a rotating unit is provided to control force transmission in such a manner that the pull out of the pin is ensured during crashes. The switches are operated depending on the position of the pins, and are integrated in the safety circuit of the protective equipment for monitoring the respective situations of the equipment.
