<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow maintenance control, use and download of an up-to-date program or the like, from a remote site, while securing the sameness and validity of respective units of object equipment, using a chip having tamper resistance such as a TPM chip. <P>SOLUTION: This system is constituted of the object equipment (image reader 100) provided with the one or more of units provided at least with the chip (TPM chip 10) having the tamper resistance, a control/use device 200 for controlling or using the object equipment 100, and an authentication device 300 provided with a database 350 for authentication to be communicable via a network 400. The chip (TPM chip 10) having the tamper resistance, and for collecting, storing and signing up equipment information of the unit is mounted in each of the units, in the object equipment 100 constituted of the one or plurality of units (units A-C in Fig.1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
