PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check processor capable of maintaining an interval of a carrying path formed between a device body and an opening/closing cover at a constant level. SOLUTION: The check processor 1 includes an upstream carrying path part 6a formed between the device body and the opening/closing cover 3. A cover side first contact surface B1 and a cover side second contact surface B2 are formed vertically at an edge of an opening/closing side of the opening/closing cover 3, and the first contact surface B1 and the second contact surface B2 are pressed to a main body side contact surface A1 and a main body side second contact surface A2 formed in the device body by a spring member 34 of a lock mechanism of the opening/closing cover 3 to ensure the perpendicularity of the opening/closing cover 3. Further, a cover side third contact surface B3 of the opening/closing cover 3 is pressed to a main body side third contact surface A3 in a similar manner to regulate an interval of the upstream carrying path part 6a.
