PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an electret having an excellent adhesion to a metallic base and a high heat resistive charge storage rate, and to provide an electret component using the electret material. SOLUTION: A material 10 of an electret includes a metallic base 1, an underlying resin layer 2 integrally formed on a surface 11 of the metallic base 1 and made of a perfluorovinylether/tetrafluoro ethylene copolymer having an active functional group at a molecule end, and a top resin layer 3 integrally formed on a surface 21 of the underlying resin layer 2 and made of a perfluoro resin having a predetermined number of active functional groups at their ends, the predetermined number being suppressed to be in a predetermined range.
