The present invention relates to a system and a method for recognizing a designated object to prevent road crime and, more particularly, to a system and a method for recognizing a designated object to prevent road crime to which a laser apparatus, an RFID, and an image apparatus are applied to prevent road crime. The present invention includes: a laser unit outputting a laser and receiving a reflected laser; a vehicle speed recognizing unit recognizing a variable for calculating a vehicle speed using laser information transferred from the laser unit; a vehicle distance calculating unit calculating a vehicle distance using the laser information transferred from the laser unit; a vehicle speed calculating unit calculating the vehicle speed using variable information transferred from the vehicle speed recognizing unit; an image detecting unit detecting an image of the vehicle using a camera to create and save image data; an image calculating unit calculating the image data transferred from the image detecting unit; and an image controlling unit receiving the image data calculated at the image calculating unit to analyze the image data and to determine whether the image data and pre-stored image data are the same or not, storing the image data calculated at the image calculating unit, re-calculating the image data at the image calculating unit when the extraction of the image data calculated at the image calculating unit fails, making a backup of the image data calculated at the image calculating unit when a predetermined time elapses, and providing a function for searching a vehicle number extracted from the image data calculated from the image calculating unit.
