摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive waste disposal container capable of easily encapsulating radioactive waste.SOLUTION: A radioactive waste disposal container 10 includes: a cylindrical container body 14 with a bottom, including an outer surface composed of titanium material; and a lid body 16 including an outer surface composed of titanium material, for closing an opening of the container body 14. The container body 14 has a cylindrical extending part composed of titanium material, and extending to a side of the opening. The lid body 16 has a cylindrical fitting part composed of titanium material, to be fitted into an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical extending part. On the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical extending part and an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical fitting part, there are formed hydrogen containing layers each containing hydrogen, in order to make the surfaces be solid-state diffusion bonded to each other at the &bgr; transformation temperature of titanium.
