PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device having a phosphor plate sealed structure in which a phosphor plate is sealed from an environment around as a dust-proof measure, obtained through adhering close and arranging: a sheet metal with the phosphor plate bonded and held; and a lens for converging excitation light and fluorescent light, and to provide a projector having the light source device.SOLUTION: A light source device includes: an excitation light source part that emits excitation light; and a fluorescent emission part. The fluorescent emission part includes: a phosphor plate 101 irradiated with the excitation light emitted from the excitation light source part to emit fluorescent light of a wavelength different from the excitation light; a base plate 102 for installing the phosphor plate 101; converging lens 103 for covering the phosphor plate 101; and a lens holder 104 for holding the converging lens 103. The phosphor plate 101 is sealed at least by the base plate 102 and the converging lens 103. |
