PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 9,10-α,α-OH taxane compound and method for forming the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a novel as well as useful compound for use in the treatment of cancer. The present invention also provides an intermediate for use in the formation of a compound useful in the treatment of cancer. The present invention also provides a method for use in forming a taxane analog and derivative thereof for use in the treatment of cancer. The present invention contemplates a formulation for the treatment of cancer in a patient, and the formulation comprises a taxane of selected concentration and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier therefor.SELECTED DRAWING: None
