PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material for a container and a container capable of restraining damage by absorbing external force, and being attached to and detached from a container body easily and securely.SOLUTION: A step part 33 including a first step part 33A extended from a disengageable part 31 and a step-shaped second step part 33B on the first step part 33A is provided between the disengageable part 31 having an engaging claw part 31B disengageable from an outer peripheral direction on an outer peripheral side of an opening 21 of a container body 2 and a top surface part 32 covering the opening 21. The second step part 33B is formed to be wider than the first step part 33A. When external force is applied to the step part 33, the second step part 33B elastically deforms to a comparatively great extent to prevent damage by absorbing the external force, and elastic deformation of the disengageable part 31, which expands to an outer side, is restrained by a vicinity of the first step part 33A having comparatively high rigidity, so that a good disengageable state is obtained. |
