PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device having excellent characteristics and electronic equipment having the light emission device.SOLUTION: A light emission device 100 includes: anodes 3R, 3G, 3B provided to sub pixels 100R, 100G, 100B; a cathode 10 as a common cathode; light emitting functional layers 6R, 6G provided between the anodes 3R, 3G and the cathode 10; hole injection layers 4R, 4G provided between the anodes 3R, 3G and the light emitting functional layers 6R, 6G; a light emitting functional layer 6B provided between the anode 3B and the cathode 10; and a hole injection layer 4B provided between the anode 3B and the light emitting functional layer 6B.
