This display panel production method, in which a plurality of display panels each having an external-shape-forming profile line with at least one curved portion are produced en masse, is provided with: a bonded-substrate formation step in which a pair of substrates of which at least one substrate has a thin film pattern formed thereon are bonded together to form a bonded substrate 50; a stacking step in which a plurality of the bonded substrates 50 are stacked with a curable resin 60 therebetween, and the curable resin 60 is cured; a grinding step in which the pair of substrates and the curable resin 60 positioned outside the thin film pattern in each of the plurality of stacked bonded substrates 50B are ground en masse along the external shape to form en masse end surfaces of the plurality of display panels which form curved profile lines; and a peeling step in which each of the plurality of stacked bonded substrates 50B are peeled from the curable resin 60.
