<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the energy of an image forming apparatus by suppressing the useless power consumption on a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is constituted so that an electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of a photoreceptor drum 31 which is uniformly electrified by an electrifier 33 by using a laser unit 35, a toner image is formed by supplying toner to the electrostatic latent image, the toner image is transferred to a recording paper 8 by means of a transfer roller 32 and the toner image on the recording paper 8 is fixed on the recording paper 8 by means of a fixing device unit 4. Further, the image forming apparatus is controlled so that, when a stop command is inputted during the operation of image formation on the photoreceptor drum 31, the photoirradiation of the photoreceptor drum 31 by means of a laser unit 35 is immediately stopped and the energization control of a halogen lamp 43 is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
