<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide permanent magnet based on an oxide magnetic material in which molding is improved, faster and excellent molding is enabled, and costs can be reduced without deteriorating magnetic characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method includes a surfactant adding step of adding and mixing polycarboxylic acid ammonium salt in 0.1 to 1.2 wt% with raw material powder containing an oxide magnetic material; a wax adding step of adding and mixing fatty acid ester wax in 0.2 to 0.85 wt% with the raw material powder after the surfactant adding step; an in-magnetic-field dry molding step of putting a resultant molding mixture into a metallic mold, and lining up the direction of easy magnetization of the oxide magnetic material powder by pressing the mixture in an applied magnetic field; and a baking step of baking the molding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
