<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system having a means for arranging and executing a calibration process for realizing stable color reproduction inside a secondary storing device of a printer though in the past, the calibration process was built in a firmware and replacement of the process was impossible even if a new calibration process would be developed after shipping. <P>SOLUTION: In this printing system, the printer and a host computer are communicably connected in an arbitrary method. A means for downloading the calibration process from the host computer and a means for executing the downloaded process are provided inside the printer, and if necessary, a new calibration process is provided from the host computer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
