<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement associated with a polymer having improved characteristics for formation of a medical device and a coating on the medical device. <P>SOLUTION: The blend comprises a combination of the first polymer having at least a part made from a polyoxyalkylene copolymer with a second component selected from the group consisting of a polymer and an oligomer. In one embodiment, the blend comprises a bioabsorbable terpolymer comprising a polyoxyalkylene copolymer, a unit derived from ε-caprolactone and the remainder of other copolymerizable monomers provided in the specification, and a polymer derived from two or more monomers selected from the group consisting of lactide, glycolide, lactic acid, lactone, glycolic acid, carbonate, ortho ester, absorbable urethane and absorbable nylon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
