PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clean acoustic material which has a sound absorbing property in a low-frequency range; which does not need a process such assembly; of which the product is not thicker than required; and which does not have a problem either that minute particles, fiber, and the like do not dissipate. SOLUTION: The acoustic material (1) is composed of a matrix resin (2) constituting open cell foam made of thermoplastic resin, and a fibrous substance (3) dispersed in the matrix resin.
