PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet detection apparatus capable of highly sensitively detecting only ultraviolet radiation. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet detection apparatus 10 for detecting ultraviolet radiation transmitted through or reflected from a sample to be measured 15 from among rays of light including at least ultraviolet radiation comprises both a dispersing means 19 for dispersing ultraviolet radiation from the rays of light and a photo-detection means 20 made of a photoelectric surface constituted of elements selected from In, Ga, N, Al, O, Cs, etc. which only detect ultraviolet radiation for detecting ultraviolet radiation dispersed by the dispersing means 19.
