PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix circuit substrate capable of surely writing image data, without having to enlarge the circuit scale by inhibiting potential fluctuations of data line. SOLUTION: The active matrix circuit substrate 1 is provided in each pixel 2 with a pixel-switching element (TFT 18 for driving) connected to a gate line 4 and a data line 5; a memory circuit (SRAM 19) for outputting output signal indicating the image data; and a switching circuit 20, provided in between the memory circuit and pixel electrode, for connecting either of a first control line 11 or a second control line 12 to a pixel electrode 21 on the basis of the output signal from the memory circuit. To each data line 5 positioning in the pixel displaying part 3, a potential-holding means (latch circuit 33) for holding the potential of the data line 5 is connected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
