According to the present invention, a refrigerator comprises: a cabinet defining a storage chamber therein, wherein an upper surface thereof is opened; a door mounted on the cabinet to be rotated vertically to open and close the storage chamber; and a hinge assembly mounted between the cabinet and the door. The hinge assembly comprises: a first bracket mounted on the cabinet; a second bracket mounted on the door and rotatably connected to the first bracket by a hinge shaft; a rotary shaft wherein an upper end is rotatably supported on a lower end of the second bracket, and a lower end thereof is mounted on the inside of the first bracket to be rotated and vertically moved; a first elastic member mounted on the rotary shaft to apply an elastic force for pushing the second bracket upwards to rotate the second bracket; and a second elastic member mounted between a middle portion of the rotary shaft on which the upper end of the first elastic member is supported and the inside of the first bracket to apply an elastic force to the second bracket in a direction in which the same is compressed after being extended by the first elastic member. |
