METHOD OF AUTOMATIC INERT GAS-SHIELDED ARC WELDING METALS AND ALLOYS

The invention relates to the field of nonconsumable electrode inert gas arc welding and can be used in thermal and nuclear power generation, petrochemical and power engineering, shipbuilding and other fields of industry. A method allows in one pass to perform automated one-sided arc welding a non-rotating annular or straight joint without beveling at welding metals and alloys in different spatial positions. The invention includes the following programmed cycles: sealing joint, applying on the joint surface of a selective activating flux and subsequent welding on previously performed seam with full penetration of edges up to 12.0 mm thick without filler wire or metal. Programmed cycles provide for producing high-quality and reliable in operation welded joints with required depth of penetration without use of any expensive backing elements.
