Method, device, and system for configuring flow entries

Disclosed are a method, device, and system for configuring flow entries. The method comprises: a switch reports a flow table structure to a controller, the intersection of match fields and actions of multiple OpenFlow flow tables comprised in the flow table structure comprising match fields and actions for implementing a first service supported by hardware flow tables; receive flow entries sent by the controller and generated according to the flow table structure, and when a first flow entry matching a first data packet of the first service is found in a software flow table, determine a first target service path matching the first flow entry and further determine a corresponding first hardware flow table, and configure flow entries of the first hardware flow table according to the first flow entry. By means of the method, in spite of the controller that the switch is connected to, flow entries for implementing the first service can be successfully configured in the hardware flow table, so the first service can be successfully processed and the probability of service processing failures is reduced.
