PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article whose joint part joining a liquid permeable layer and an absorbent core is formed in a low basis weight area of the absorbent core and which has sufficient flexural rigidity of the joint part, sufficient joint strength of the joint part, and sufficient liquid absorptivity.SOLUTION: In an absorbent core 4 that has a first area having a prescribed absorbing material basis weight and a second area (areas 411a, 411b) having a lower absorbing material basis weight, a proportion of highly absorbing polymer basis weight with respect to the absorbing material basis weight in the second area is 10/100 to 47/100, and compression parts 5a, 5b are formed inside the second area. |
