PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data handling device that can capture an image data file in a CF card loaded to the image data handling device earlier than an image data file of a CF card loaded in an electronic still camera. SOLUTION: An MPU 21 of the image data handling device 2 records an image data file by one frame received from an electronic still camera 1 via an IEEE-1394 cable 3 and an interface circuit 23 to a recorder 22. When the recording by the file by one frame to the recorder 22 is finished, the MPU 21 discriminates the presence of loading of a CF card 12A. When the MPU 21 discriminates the loading of the CF card 12A, the MPU 21 gives a command to a card read circuit 24 to read the image data file of all frame recorded in the CF card 12A. The MPU 21 records the read image data file to a prescribed recording area of the recorder 22. |
