摘要 <p>A brake assembly (10) includes a brake pad (14) movable on a support (22). The support (22) is pivotally mounted to provide adjustment of an angle (30) defined between the support (22) and a plane of a braking surface (40) of a rotor (12). A force applied to the brake pad (14) causes engagement between the rotor (12) and the brake pad (14). A frictional force drives the brake pad (14) along the support (22) to increase the magnitude of braking force beyond the force applied by the actuator. The increase in braking force is proportionally controlled by adjusting the angle (30). &lt;IMAGE&gt;</p>
