PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink absorber of substantially excellent practicality which needs no cartridges or trays with no leakage of once absorbed ink to the outside, facilitates handling, and can enlarge the degree of freedom of designing of a printer. SOLUTION: In the ink absorber used for an inkjet printer, the ink absorber is constituted of a mixture of a paper fiber, a starch-based binder, and water and holes allowing the ink to pass through into the inside of the ink absorber are formed in the upper face of the ink absorber.
