A laser scanning unit is provided to save a manufacturing cost and reduce a thickness of an f-theta lens by removing an unnecessary portion of the f-theta lens. A laser scanning unit includes a single polygon mirror(10) and a plurality of f-theta lenses(20). The single polygon mirror deflects a light scanned at a light source. The plurality of f-theta lenses image the light deflected by the polygon mirror on a plurality of photosensitive drums. The f-theta lenses have an aspheric shape. The aspheric shape is symmetric in a main scanning direction and a non-symmetric in a sub-scanning direction.
