PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case molded capacitor which is used in an automobile or the like to reduce the effect caused by heating of a discharge resistor. SOLUTION: A case molded capacitor comprises an inner packaging case 4 which internally resin-molds many flat capacitors 1 connected by bus bars 2, 3, and an outer packaging case 6 which couples the inner packaging case 4 and a discharge resistor 7 connected in parallel with the bus bars 2, 3. The capacitors 1 are configured to have horizontal arrangement rows with a minor axis direction arranged linearly at both ends and a vertical arrangement row with a major axis direction arranged linearly which is provided between the horizontal arrangement rows. The discharge resistor 7 is arranged in extension of the vertical arrangement row, and a distance from the discharge resistor 7 to the capacitors 1 on the vertical arrangement row is longer than a distance from the discharge resistor 7 to the capacitors 1 on the horizontal arrangement rows. Such a configuration avoids easy propagation of heat to the capacitors 1 even in the event of heating in the discharge resistor 7, allowing heat resistance to be improved.
