PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a trouble that an underground structure peripheral wall cannot be smoothly press-fitted and settled into the ground caused by friction and viscosity with respect to a soil wall surface due to the fact that an erect plate of a lower frame has a vertical surface, and the lower frame suffers insufficient strength, and to improve the waterproofness and heat insulation properties of the underground structure peripheral wall. SOLUTION: There is provided an underground structure peripheral wall construction method for settling an open-type caisson composed of the lower frame and the underground peripheral wall into the ground. The interior of the lower edge of a cutting edge formed of an external peripheral plate and a bottom plate is reinforced with reinforced concrete, and inclined in a direction that slightly protrudes outward. Further the a waterproof panel is attached to the external peripheral surface of the underground structure peripheral wall on the ground.
