1. An apparatus for moving a load, comprising:
a plurality of lifting devices configured to lift a load substantially vertical away from a surface; a plurality of load bearing feet proximally mounted to said lifting devices to bear said load on said surface; a plurality of movement devices configured to move said load bearing feet substantially horizontally relative to said lifting devices; a plurality of mechanisms for controlling the orientation of said movement devices relative to said apparatus; an operator interface with a graphical representation of said apparatus; one or more set point input devices to adjust set points for the orientation of said movement devices; and a plurality of location selection devices placed on said graphical representation relative to the location of said apparatus to which they correspond, whereby selection of said location selection devices coupled with the selection of said set point input devices results in adjustment of the orientation of said movement devices in the relative proximity of said location selection devices.
