PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving a seed coating material while suppressing the reduction of a germination rate, in order to overcome the problem that a seed is damaged to cause a drop in a germination rate due to the reaction heat from a coating material composed mainly of iron.SOLUTION: A seed coating material is mainly composed of slag obtained by cooling after melting the polluted sludge generated in a sewage treatment. By using the sludge, the seed coating material composed mainly of slag is not substantially followed by an oxidation reaction when coating the seed, so that a damage upon the seed due to a heat revolution as in a seed coating material composed mainly of iron can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
