PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a doped titanium oxide sol, in which the doped titanium oxide sol can be produced by a simple and easy method, has excellent quality stability and is improved in photocatalytic activity and electrical conductivity when compared with those of an undoped titanium oxide sol.SOLUTION: The method for producing the doped titanium oxide sol, which sol is doped with niobium and/or tantalum, comprises: a first step of neutralizing an aqueous solution containing titanium and niobium and/or tantalum with an alkali to prepare a gel dispersion liquid; a second step of cleaning the gel dispersion liquid obtained at the first step; and a third step of heating/solating the cleaned gel dispersion liquid, which is obtained at the second step, in the presence of a water-soluble amine compound or ammonia.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
