A flocculating washing machine comprises an outer tub, a laundry-washing structure disposed inside the outer tub and a water circulation and treatment device disposed outside the outer tub, wherein the water circulation and treatment device comprises a flocculation treatment unit performing a flocculation treatment on used water, connected to the outer tub via a filtration device, and configured to direct flocculated water after filtration to flow back to the outer tub. An overflow port (15) is disposed on the filtration device, and a flow sensor is disposed at the overflow port (15) to detect a flow rate of an overflow. A control method of the washing machine comprises: detecting in real time the flow rate of the overflow of the filtration device (10) and/or a liquid level in a flocculated liquid container; and determining, according to a detected value and a configured value, a level of blockage of the filtration device (10). By determining whether the overflow of the filtration device (10) and/or the liquid level of the flocculated liquid container exceeds the configured value, the level of blockage of the filtration device can be determined, thereby determining whether a cleaning or replacement needs to be performed on a filter of the filtration device.
