PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing motor which enables monitor of oil leakage from a bearing part, enables detection of a rotation signal and a position signal of a rotor, has high reliability and facilitates the reduction of assembly man- hours. SOLUTION: A hole 2a, to which a see-through plate 12 made of light transmitting material is attached, is formed in a hub 2 placed so as to face an end surface 3b of a shaft support hole 3a. A sensor 18 is attached to the outside of the hub 2 so as to face the hole 2a. The hole 2a of the hub 2 is shaped so as to have a specific partial section where the hole 2a is not formed in a circumferential direction of a shaft 1. When the sensor 18 detects the specific section in accordance with the rotation of the hub 2, the sensor 18 outputs a detection signal. |
