The present invention relates to a display device and a method for operating the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a display device using wearable eyeglasses and a method for operating the same. The display device using the wearable eyeglasses according to the present invention includes a camera mounted on the wearable eyeglasses to acquire a first image in view of a wearer; a calculating unit for analyzing the first image to determine a virtual display area of the wearable glasses; a data cooperation unit for receiving a second image from a smart appliance interoperable with the wearable eyeglasses; and a display unit for displaying the second image on the virtual display area. According to the present invention, the second image interoperable with a smart device is displayed on a virtual display region acquired by analyzing the first image photographed in view of the wearer, so that an image used for a special purpose in advertisement, a video call, etc. can be more effectively transmitted to the wearer. |
