PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp unit capable of protecting a wire to be bonded to a light-emitting element and reducing loss of light.SOLUTION: The lamp unit includes: a first substrate; a second substrate arranged on the first substrate; a light-emitting element arranged on the second substrate; first and second conductive layers arranged on the second substrate; at least one wire which electrically connects at least one of the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer and the light-emitting element; a wavelength conversion layer which is arranged on the light-emitting element and converts a wavelength of light irradiated from the light-emitting element; and a protective layer arranged on the first and second substrates so as to surround the light-emitting element and the at least one wire. The upper surface of the protective layer and the upper surface of the wavelength conversion layer respectively are located higher than the highest point of the at least one wire.
