摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop power supply to a motor by detecting that a charger under non-operation condition in which the charger does not supply electric power to a battery pack is connected to the battery pack, with simple structure.SOLUTION: An electric bicycle and a charger connect a communication line 5 between a bicycle body 2, a battery pack 3 and the charger 4. The electric bicycle 1 includes a connection detecting circuit 10 which detects connecting condition in which the charger 4 is connected to the battery pack 3. The communication line 5 includes a grounding line 6 and a communication line 7, and the communication line 7 is connected to a power source line 22 at the bicycle body 2 side through a first pull-up resistance 21 at the bicycle body 2 side and is connected to a power source line 42 at the charger 4 side through a second pull-up resistance 41 at the charger 4 side. In the electric bicycle 1, the connection detecting circuit 10 detects the voltage of the communication line 7 and detects connecting condition in which the charger 4 under non-operation condition is connected to the battery pack 3, and a control circuit 20 cuts power supply off from the battery pack 3 to a running motor 25.
