<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile body identification device, capable of surely performing writing and reading of information with minimized power even if the shape or size of a label or the position or direction of an IC tag inlet within the label is freely set. <P>SOLUTION: A label printer includes an interrogator 11 performing radio communication with a responder (IC tag) contained in the label and an antenna connected to the interrogator 11. The antenna is composed of an antenna 21 and an antenna 22 differed in directivity, and has an electric switching means 23 for operating either one of the antennas 21 and 22. The antennas 21 and 22 are composed of, for example, linear polarization antennas having polarization directions maximizing the sensitivities to received radio wave such as dipole antennas, and disposed so that the polarization directions maximizing the sensitivities are substantially orthogonal to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
